UNA Flight Diversion: NCAA launches probe amid public confusion

The Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) has initiated a thorough investigation into the events surrounding United Nigeria Airlines flight – NUA 0506, which diverted to Asaba before reaching its original destination, Abuja.

In a statement signed by the Director-General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), Capt. Musa Nuhu, the Authority said it has already taken preliminary steps, while assuring the traveling public of its commitment to ensuring the ongoing safety of the aviation industry.

As the investigation unfolds, the DGCA has encouraged the public to remain patient, assuring that all necessary actions will be taken to address any identified issues. 

By this statement, the traveling public has been urged to stay informed through official channels as updates on the investigation are expected to be released as they become available.

The statement: “The Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) have commenced investigation into the circumstances surrounding United Nigeria flight NUA 0506 to Asaba and the confusion it has created in the public domain. 

“However, preliminary steps have been taken pending conclusions of the ongoing investigation. 

“The Authority wishes to reassure the traveling public that it will leave no stone unturned as it has always done in the past to ensure continued safety of the aviation industry.”
