United Nigeria Airlines’ Inaugural Flight Lands in Katsina to Warm Reception by Governor Radda, other Dignitaries

United Nigeria Airlines has marked a significant milestone with the successful landing of its inaugural flight into Katsina from Abuja at the Umaru Musa Yar’Adua Airport.
The flight, which touched down amidst much fanfare, was warmly received by Katsina State Governor, Dikko Umar Radda, alongside state officials, traditional rulers, leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC), and members of the Igbo community in Katsina State.
The historic flight underscores United Nigeria Airlines’ commitment to expanding its domestic network and strengthening connectivity across Nigeria.
The airline’s Founder and Chairman, Professor Obiora Okonkwo, OFR, led the high-profile delegation aboard the flight. Among the distinguished passengers were prominent political and business figures, reflecting the significance of the occasion.

Notable personalities on board included Prophet Chukwuemeka Ohanaemere (popularly known as Odumeje), former Katsina State Governor, His Excellency Bello Masari, and APC National Secretary, Senator Ajibola Bashiru.
Others were Deputy National Secretary, Barrister Festus Fuanter; National Vice Chairman (North West), Honourable Garba Datti Muhammad; National Vice Chairman (North Central), Muazu Bawa Rijau; National Organising Secretary, Alhaji Sulieman M. Argungu; Deputy National Financial Secretary, Honourable Hamma’adama Ali Kumo; and Deputy National Publicity Secretary, Honourable Diro Meseko.
Also among the delegation were the Former Minority Leader of the Anambra State House of Assembly, Onyebuchi Offor, and the Director of Administration, United Nigeria Airlines, Linus Awute, OON, mni.

Governor Radda, in his remarks at the reception, commended United Nigeria Airlines for extending its services to Katsina, highlighting the importance of enhanced air connectivity for the state’s economic and social development.
He noted that the airline’s presence would not only ease travel for residents but also attract business and investment opportunities to Katsina State.
Professor Okonkwo expressed gratitude for the warm reception and reiterated the airline’s commitment to providing reliable and efficient services to Nigerians.
He emphasised that the new Abuja–Katsina route reflects United Nigeria Airlines’ strategic vision of facilitating seamless travel across Nigeria while contributing to the country’s economic growth.
The inaugural flight’s successful reception marks a pivotal step in United Nigeria Airlines’ expansion strategy, reinforcing its position as a leading player in Nigeria’s aviation sector.
