United Nigeria Airlines Secures Second IOSA Certification, Solidifying Commitment to Operational Safety

United Nigeria Airlines has proudly announced its successful attainment of a second IATA Operational Safety Audit (IOSA) certification, further cementing its position as a leader in operational safety and excellence within the aviation industry.

The IOSA certification, widely recognised as a global benchmark for safety in aviation, underscores the airline’s dedication to upholding the highest standards in its operations.

The certification process, known for its rigorous and comprehensive audit of an airline’s operational management and control systems, was successfully completed by United Nigeria Airlines for the second time in just three and a half years of operation.

This achievement not only highlights the airline’s consistent adherence to international safety standards but also reinforces its commitment to delivering a safe and reliable air travel experience.

The certification is a significant milestone for United Nigeria Airlines, placing it among a select group of airlines globally that meet the stringent IOSA requirements.

Reflecting on this remarkable accomplishment, Chief Operating Officer Mazi Osita Okonkwo expressed the airline’s enthusiasm, stating, “We are thrilled to have achieved our second IOSA certification, which is a testament to our unwavering commitment to safety and operational excellence.

“This achievement would not have been possible without the hard work and dedication of our team, and we look forward to continuing to provide our passengers with the safest and most reliable air travel experience possible.”

He added, “We are proud to be among the select group of airlines that have achieved IOSA certification, and we will continue to work tirelessly to maintain and improve our safety standards.”

United Nigeria Airlines, which began its regular scheduled operations on February 12, 2021, remains steadfast in its mission to unite passengers with their destinations and loved ones through a safe, reliable, and enjoyable air travel experience.

The airline’s latest achievement further strengthens its reputation as a trusted carrier in the Nigeria’s aviation sector and beyond.
