Zonal Coordinator of Customs Conducts First Operational Visit to Kirikiri Lighter Terminal Command

Assistant Comptroller-General of Customs (ACG) OC Orbih, the Zonal Coordinator for Zone ‘A’, has reaffirmed his commitment to operational excellence and stakeholder collaboration during his maiden visit to the Kirikiri Lighter Terminal (KLT) Command on Tuesday, 26th March 2025.
According to a statement signed by VU Ogagbor, Chief Superintendent of Customs and Public Relations Officer, KLT Command, ACG Orbih was warmly received by the Customs Area Controller (CAC) of KLT Command, Comptroller EJ Edelduok, who presented a detailed report outlining the Command’s achievements since assuming leadership.
The report highlighted the Command’s successes in revenue generation and trade facilitation, underscoring the strategic measures implemented to enhance operational efficiency.
In his address to the officers, ACG Orbih stressed the importance of synergy between the Command and stakeholders, urging officers to maintain a high level of professionalism and diligence in their duties.
He emphasised that effective collaboration with stakeholders remains vital to achieving the Command’s strategic objectives.
“The success of this Command hinges on the professionalism and dedication of our officers,” ACG Orbih stated. “We must work hand in hand with stakeholders to improve operational efficiency and enhance trade facilitation.”
ACG Orbih further assured the officers that the challenges confronting the Command would be promptly escalated to the Nigeria Customs Service Headquarters for resolution.
He pledged to actively support the Command in addressing these issues, demonstrating his commitment to fostering a conducive working environment and improving overall performance.
“This visit signifies my unwavering support for the Command,” ACG Orbih noted. “We are committed to ensuring that the concerns of our officers are addressed and that we create a work environment that supports productivity and collaboration.”
