Carloha Nigeria Bags Double International Honours at 2026 Chery Global Summit in China
Carloha Nigeria has recorded a major international breakthrough after emerging as one of the standout distributors at the 2026 Chery Global Summit and Beijing International Automotive Exhibition in China, where the company won two prestigious global awards.
The Nigerian automobile company, which is the authorised dealer of Chery vehicles in the country, received the New Star Award and the Brand Leap Contribution Award in recognition of its remarkable market expansion, strategic brand development efforts, and growing influence in promoting the Chery brand across Nigeria and the African continent.
The awards were presented at the global summit attended by Chery distributors, automotive executives, investors, international business partners, and industry stakeholders from different regions of the world.
Industry observers described the recognition as a significant milestone for Nigeria’s automotive sector, noting that the achievement further highlights the country’s growing relevance within the global automobile market and reflects the increasing competitiveness of African auto businesses in areas such as sales performance, customer relations, aftersales services, and brand management.
The awards also place Carloha Nigeria among the emerging high-performing distributors within Chery’s global network.
Beyond the awards ceremony, Chery used the Auto China 2026 exhibition to unveil several cutting-edge automotive and intelligent mobility innovations aimed at redefining future transportation systems.
A major highlight of the exhibition was the unveiling of the all-new Chery TIGGO V, a next-generation sport utility vehicle designed with advanced safety engineering and intelligent technology systems.
The vehicle features a body structure made from 76 per cent high-strength steel and aluminium and comes equipped with Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), intelligent emergency braking technology, battery protection systems, and other active and passive safety features developed to enhance passenger safety and overall driving experience.
Chery also introduced its new global brand philosophy, “For Family”, which reflects the company’s ambition to evolve beyond traditional vehicle manufacturing into a broader mobility ecosystem centred on safety, innovation, comfort, and practical transportation solutions for families.
Speaking on the international recognition, the Managing Director of Carloha Nigeria, Mr Sola Adigun, said the awards validate the company’s vision of delivering world-class automotive solutions and exceptional customer experiences to Nigerian consumers.
He noted that Nigerian customers are increasingly demanding vehicles that combine intelligent safety systems, premium comfort, fuel efficiency, modern aesthetics, and advanced technology, adding that these qualities were fully demonstrated during the Beijing exhibition.
According to him, the double award reflects the dedication and hard work of the Carloha Nigeria team in strengthening customer confidence, expanding market reach, and increasing brand visibility within the Nigerian automotive space.
Adigun further stated that the recognition reinforces the company’s determination to position Chery among the leading automobile brands in Nigeria through innovative products, technology-driven mobility solutions, quality aftersales support, and customer-centred services.
The exhibition also drew global attention to Chery’s growing investments in artificial intelligence and robotics through its AiMOGA Robotics lineup, which featured the humanoid robot “Mornine” and the intelligent robotic dog “Argos”.
The technologies demonstrated Chery’s expansion into intelligent living systems and future mobility solutions beyond conventional automobile manufacturing.
Also commenting on the achievement, the General Manager of Carloha Nigeria, Mr Felix Mahan, described the awards as proof that Nigerian companies can successfully compete and excel on the global stage.
He said the recognition also reflects growing international confidence in the Nigerian and African automotive industries.
Mahan highlighted the company’s CarlohaCare 6-6-7 aftersales package, which provides customers with six years of free service, six years warranty, and a seven-day repair promise on Chery vehicles purchased through Carloha Nigeria.
He explained that the initiative was introduced to make vehicle ownership more convenient, affordable, and stress-free for customers across the country.
He reaffirmed the company’s commitment to providing Nigerian families and businesses with globally recognised vehicles designed to meet evolving mobility needs while continuing efforts to elevate automotive service standards in Nigeria and across Africa.
