Jetour X70 Plus Takes Centre Stage as Abuja Experience Opens
Jetour Nigeria is set to put its seven-seat X70 Plus SUV in the spotlight as the company takes its motoring experience to Abuja from September 22 to 24, in a fresh push to expand its customer base and strengthen its presence in Nigeria’s growing SUV market.
The three-day Jetour Experience Abuja, scheduled to hold at the Maha Event Centre, Area 8, Garki, will provide motorists, prospective vehicle buyers and motoring enthusiasts in the Federal Capital Territory with an opportunity to see, test and learn more about the X70 Plus and other vehicles in the Jetour range.
The Abuja event comes after the brand’s recent activation in Lagos, where the company recorded what it described as strong participation in test-drive sessions and considerable interest from prospective customers.
Jetour Nigeria said the response generated in Lagos, coupled with increasing demand from customers in Abuja and neighbouring states, informed the decision to take the roadshow to the Federal Capital Territory.
The company said the event was designed to move beyond conventional vehicle displays by giving visitors an opportunity to experience Jetour products directly before making purchasing decisions.
At the centre of the Abuja activation is the X70 Plus, a seven-seater SUV designed to appeal particularly to families and motorists looking for a combination of passenger capacity, comfort, technology and practicality.
The model is available with 1.5-litre and 1.6-litre turbocharged engine options, with power outputs of up to 145kW and maximum torque of 290Nm.
The engines are paired with a dual-clutch automatic transmission, giving the X70 Plus a powertrain configuration targeted at motorists seeking a combination of performance and convenience in an SUV.
Beyond its engine options, Jetour has equipped the X70 Plus with a range of safety technologies.
The SUV comes with front, side and curtain airbags, as well as Vehicle Stability Control, Hill-Start Assist and Hill-Descent Control.
Another notable feature is its 360-degree panoramic camera system, which provides 2D and 3D viewing modes to assist drivers when manoeuvring the vehicle, particularly in confined spaces.
Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems are also available, adding further technology aimed at supporting drivers in different road and traffic conditions.
Inside the cabin, Jetour has focused on combining space with technology and convenience.
The X70 Plus features a 10.23-inch LCD touchscreen through which occupants can access vehicle and entertainment functions.
The SUV also comes with dual-zone climate control incorporating air purification, allowing occupants in different parts of the cabin to adjust the temperature to their preference.
Other interior features include wireless charging, a panoramic sunroof and an eight-speaker audio system.
With its seven-seat configuration, the X70 Plus is positioned to serve motorists who require greater passenger capacity without moving into larger traditional utility vehicles.
Jetour Nigeria said visitors to the Abuja Experience would be able to interact with its product specialists, receive information about the various models and take part in test drives.
The company said the direct interaction would allow potential buyers to assess the vehicles under real driving conditions and gain a better understanding of their features and capabilities.
The event is also expected to provide Jetour with an opportunity to strengthen relationships with customers and dealers in Abuja and other parts of northern Nigeria.
Jetour Nigeria currently has seven accredited dealers supporting its operations across the country.
They are Elizade Nigeria Limited, Mandilas Autos, R.T. Briscoe Motors, Germaine Auto Centre, Kojo Motors, Tab Autos Limited and New Era Auto Vehicle Services Limited.
The company said the dealer network was an important part of its strategy for providing customers with access to vehicle sales, genuine spare parts and after-sales support.
The expansion of its dealer network and customer engagement activities comes as competition in Nigeria’s SUV market continues to attract established manufacturers and newer automotive brands.
For Jetour, the Abuja Experience represents another opportunity to increase brand visibility and demonstrate its product range directly to potential customers.
The company has also received recognition within Nigeria’s motoring industry, including the Fastest Growing Auto Brand award from the Nigeria Auto Journalists Association and the Auto Brand of the Year award at the Nigeria Transport Lecture and Awards.
Jetour’s decision to take its experience to Abuja reflects its broader strategy of engaging customers outside Lagos, where a large proportion of automotive activities and product launches traditionally take place.
The Federal Capital Territory, with its large population of government workers, businesses, professionals and residents from across Nigeria, represents an important market for vehicle manufacturers seeking to expand their customer base.
The three-day event is therefore expected to combine product demonstrations with direct customer engagement as Jetour continues to build awareness of its vehicles in the Nigerian market.
While the X70 Plus will be one of the principal attractions at the Abuja Experience, visitors will also have access to other Jetour models, providing prospective buyers with an opportunity to compare the brand’s offerings based on their individual requirements.
For motorists considering a family SUV, the X70 Plus’ seven-seat capacity, turbocharged engine options, safety technologies and range of cabin features are among the elements that will be available for closer examination during the event.
The Abuja Experience is consequently expected to serve both as a customer engagement platform and as part of Jetour Nigeria’s continuing effort to deepen its presence in the country’s competitive automotive market.
