JustNet Transport Summit to Tackle Mobility, Energy, Trade Facilitation Challenges October 23
The second edition of the JustNet Transport Summit, organised by JustAlive Communications Limited, publishers of JustNet News, will hold on Friday, October 23, 2026, in Lagos, with stakeholders expected to examine the impact of global disruptions on Nigeria’s transport sector.
The one-day summit, scheduled to take place at Providence Hotel, GRA, Ikeja, will bring together policymakers, industry leaders and other stakeholders across aviation, road transportation, maritime, rail, energy, logistics and related sectors.
The summit has as its theme, “Navigating Global Disruptions and the Road Ahead: Mobility, Energy and Trade Facilitation for a Resilient Future.”
According to the organisers, the event is designed to provide a platform for stakeholders to assess emerging challenges confronting Nigeria’s transportation industry and develop practical responses capable of strengthening the sector’s resilience.
Managing Director of JustAlive Communications Limited, Mrs Pearl Ngwama, said the summit would focus on strengthening collaboration among stakeholders while addressing some of the major issues affecting the performance and sustainability of the transport sector.
She said discussions at the event would centre on mobility, infrastructure, energy security, trade facilitation and the consequences of global disruptions on Nigeria’s transportation system.
Ngwama said the objective was to move beyond discussions and generate actionable recommendations that could contribute to the development of a more efficient, sustainable and future-ready transport sector.
The summit comes at a time when Nigeria’s transport industry continues to contend with challenges linked to infrastructure, energy costs, logistics efficiency, connectivity and the wider effects of disruptions in global supply chains.
The organisers said the second edition followed the outcome of the maiden summit held in 2025, which provided an avenue for stakeholders to deliberate on critical issues affecting the country’s transportation industry.
They said the 2026 edition would build on that platform by broadening engagement among stakeholders and examining emerging trends, policy challenges and investment opportunities that could shape the future of transportation in Nigeria.
The summit is expected to provide opportunities for participants from the aviation, maritime, road, rail, logistics and energy sectors to exchange ideas on how to improve the movement of people and goods while strengthening the country’s capacity to withstand external and domestic disruptions.
The organisers also said collaboration among the various components of the transport ecosystem would remain central to the discussions, particularly given the interconnected nature of mobility, energy, logistics and trade.
