Omefreight Logistics Establishes Netherlands Base to Deepen Europe–Africa Supply Chain Operations

Omefreight has expanded its global footprint with the establishment of a new operational office in the Netherlands, a move expected to enhance trade connectivity and logistics services between Europe and Africa.

The company said the launch of Omefreight Netherlands (NL) marks a significant phase in its international growth drive and underscores its ambition to become a stronger player in cross-continental logistics and supply chain management.

The new office is expected to function as the company’s strategic European hub, taking advantage of the Netherlands’ position as one of the continent’s leading logistics and transportation centres.

Industry analysts regard the country as a critical gateway for international commerce due to its sophisticated transport infrastructure and proximity to major European markets.

Omefreight noted that its presence in the Netherlands places the company closer to the Port of Rotterdam, widely recognised as one of Europe’s busiest and most influential seaports, thereby improving access to global shipping routes and distribution channels.

Commenting on the development, the Director of Operations for Omefreight Netherlands, Isiguzo Obinna, explained that the expansion was informed by the country’s strategic importance within global logistics networks.

According to him, the company views the Netherlands as an ideal location from which to strengthen commercial ties between African and European businesses.

“The Netherlands was a natural choice for this expansion. Omefreight Netherlands was established with a clear and focused vision: to serve as a bridge between the European and African markets,” he stated.

He explained that the company’s operational presence across both continents would help improve supply chain coordination, reduce delivery timelines, and create more efficient trade routes for clients operating internationally.

Situated in North Brabant with offices in Den Bosch, the new operation is strategically positioned to support industrial activities and logistics movements across the Netherlands and neighbouring European countries.

The company said the location would enable it to respond more rapidly to customer demands while improving operational efficiency and service reliability across multiple markets.

As part of its service offerings, Omefreight Netherlands will operate a fleet of vans and trucks to handle various logistics solutions, including express cargo delivery, dedicated haulage services, last-mile distribution, and cross-border European shipments.

The firm also disclosed plans to collaborate extensively with third-party logistics providers, fulfilment centres, manufacturers, and distribution companies in order to strengthen integrated supply chain solutions.

Management emphasised that the company would prioritise operational flexibility, timely delivery, reliability, and effective communication, describing these factors as essential to overcoming persistent challenges within the global logistics industry.

In addition to the Netherlands, Omefreight said it is already positioning itself to support logistics operations in Germany, Belgium, France, and Switzerland, while also exploring opportunities for broader expansion across Europe.

Reaffirming the company’s vision, Obinna said Omefreight remained committed to facilitating seamless trade relations between both continents.

“Our mission is clear. We are the bridge between Europe and Africa. We take care of logistics so our clients can focus on their growth,” he said.

The company maintained that the expansion reflects its long-term commitment to building scalable logistics infrastructure, improving international trade efficiency, and supporting sustainable business partnerships between Europe and Africa.
