Tinubu to Lead Dialogue on Nigeria’s Transport Future at Lagos Summit

…Experts to explore sustainable innovations for national infrastructure growth
The Managing Director of Primero Transport Services Limited, Mr Fola Tinubu, is set to chair the maiden edition of the JustAlive Communications Limited Transport Summit, scheduled to take place on Wednesday, 29 October 2025, at the Providence Hotel, GRA, Ikeja, Lagos.
Themed “Nigeria’s Transport Infrastructure: Innovation for a Sustainable Future,” the summit aims to serve as a vital platform for dialogue and collaboration among key stakeholders across the nation’s transport ecosystem. It will address the growing challenges confronting Nigeria’s infrastructure sector while exploring innovative models to drive sustainable development.
Mr Fola Tinubu, a respected industry figure, brings to the event a wealth of experience in business management and public transportation.
A graduate of the University of East Anglia, Norwich, where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Politics, and the University of Stirling, Scotland, where he obtained his MBA, Tinubu has earned recognition for his visionary leadership and strategic insight.
At the helm of both Primero Transport Services Limited – operators of the Lagos Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) system – and Maryland Wreckage Limited, Tinubu has demonstrated exceptional capacity in fostering operational efficiency and organisational growth.
His leadership has been credited with positioning Primero Transport as a key player in the Lagos transport ecosystem and a model for public-private collaboration in Nigeria’s urban mobility sector.
Under his stewardship, Primero has focused on improving service delivery, safety standards, and customer satisfaction, while promoting sustainable transport practices. Colleagues and associates often describe him as a pragmatic leader who blends financial acumen with innovative strategies to deliver measurable impact.
The summit, according to the organisers, will also feature the Managing Director of Widescope Logistics Limited as the keynote speaker, alongside other prominent figures from the public and private sectors.
In a statement signed by Mrs Pearl Ngwama, Managing Director of JustAlive Communications Limited, organisers of the event and publishers of JustNet News, she described the summit as a “timely intervention” designed to respond to the pressing infrastructural challenges facing Nigeria’s transportation landscape.
Ngwama noted that the forum would not only facilitate robust discussion but also “bring together stakeholders to brainstorm actionable solutions, foster collaboration, and chart a clear path towards a more efficient, sustainable, and future-ready transport ecosystem across Nigeria.”
She added that the initiative is closely aligned with President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, which prioritises transformative infrastructure projects as a foundation for national development.
JustAlive Communications Limited, through its publication JustNet News, focuses on critical transport sub-sectors such as aviation, maritime, waterways, rail, and road.
The forthcoming summit, she explained, is designed to create a bridge between policymakers, investors, and practitioners – ensuring that transport innovation remains central to Nigeria’s economic and environmental sustainability goals.
As anticipation builds ahead of the October 29 gathering, stakeholders view the event as a crucial step toward repositioning Nigeria’s transport infrastructure.
With Fola Tinubu at the helm, expectations are high that the summit will inspire practical solutions and renewed commitment to the nation’s transport transformation agenda.
