Air Peace Takes Delivery of Third Embraer 190 to Enhance Festive Operations, Expand Network Capacity

Air Peace Limited has received its third Embraer 190 aircraft, further reinforcing its operational strength as the airline prepares to cater for increased passenger traffic during the festive season and beyond.

The latest aircraft delivery underscores the carrier’s sustained investment in fleet expansion and its commitment to providing reliable and efficient air transport services across Nigeria and the wider African region.

The Embraer 190-100 Advanced Range (AR) jet, registered as 5N-CFM, arrived at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos, at 3:13 p.m. on Tuesday, December 16, 2025.

Its arrival represents another significant step in Air Peace’s ongoing fleet modernisation programme, which has seen the airline steadily introduce newer, fuel-efficient aircraft to support its growing route network.

With a seating capacity of 99 passengers, the aircraft is configured with 11 Business Class seats and 88 Economy Class seats, offering travellers a comfortable and efficient flying experience.

The delivery is particularly noteworthy as it is the third Embraer 190 inducted into the Air Peace fleet within five months, reflecting the airline’s rapid growth trajectory and its preparedness to meet seasonal spikes in travel demand.

The Embraer 190 AR is designed for performance and sustainability, featuring fuel-efficient engines that contribute to lower operating costs and reduced carbon emissions.

Inside the cabin, passengers benefit from thoughtful design elements, including a 1-2 seating layout in Business Class for enhanced comfort and privacy, and a 2-2 Economy Class configuration that eliminates middle seats.

The aircraft also offers ample legroom, a quieter cabin environment and in-seat power supply to improve passenger convenience.

Speaking on the development, the airline’s Spokesperson, Mr Osifo-Whiskey Efe, said the new aircraft would play a critical role in supporting Air Peace’s operational objectives.

“The arrival of this Embraer 190 AR further strengthens our capacity at a crucial time. It is a modern and efficient aircraft that aligns with our strategy of deploying the right equipment on the right routes. Our goal remains to make air travel more accessible, reliable and comfortable for passengers across our network,” he stated.

According to him, the aircraft will be deployed to support additional flight frequencies on key domestic and regional routes, particularly during the festive period when passenger volumes traditionally peak. This, he noted, would help improve schedule reliability and ease congestion on high-demand routes.

Industry observers note that the additional aircraft will translate into increased seat availability and greater scheduling flexibility for passengers, while also enabling the airline to serve both established and emerging routes more efficiently.

It further highlights Air Peace’s broader commitment to service quality, operational excellence and sustainable growth.

With one of the most diverse fleets in the Nigerian aviation industry, Air Peace continues to distinguish itself through aggressive capacity expansion and strategic fleet investment.

The induction of a third Embraer 190 reinforces the airline’s vision of strengthening regional connectivity, supporting economic activities and enhancing the overall travel experience for passengers.

As travel demand rises during the festive season, Air Peace says it remains focused on delivering safe, dependable and seamless journeys, supported by modern aircraft and a customer-centric approach to air travel.
