MMA2 bolsters security measures to ensure passenger safety

In a resolute commitment to maintaining the safety and security of passengers, staff, and visitors, Nigeria’s premier airport terminal, Murtala Muhammed Airport Terminal 2 (MMA2), operated by Bi-Courtney Aviation Services Limited, has reinforced its security infrastructure with a slew of comprehensive measures.

In a statement signed by Ajoke Yinka-Olawuyi, Head of Communications and Public Relations, Bi-Courtney Aviation Services Limited, the company reiterated the terminal’s unwavering dedication to safeguarding all within and around its premises. 

It emphasised the pivotal role played by MMA2’s robust surveillance system, inclusive of CCTV cameras, in swiftly addressing customer complaints and thwarting theft claims, thereby ensuring a secure environment.

BASL explained that recent enhancements to MMA2’s security apparatus include the deployment of highly trained security personnel and the implementation of Security Awareness Training for all tenants and concessionaires. 

It added that these additional measures, coupled with existing CCTV surveillance, have proven effective in curbing alleged theft incidents and identifying individuals involved in criminal activities.

Acknowledging the paramount importance of upholding security standards, BASL stressed the terminal’s ongoing efforts to bolster security protocols to counter evolving threats. 

At MMA2, safety remains paramount, with an unwavering commitment to fostering a secure and welcoming environment for all.

Expressing gratitude to passengers, partners, and stakeholders, the company urged the public to remain vigilant and promptly report any suspicious activities to dedicated security personnel for immediate action.

This includes the deployment of highly trained security personnel and conducting Awareness Security Awareness Training for all tenants and concessionaires of the terminal.

“These enhancements, alongside our existing CCTV surveillance, have yielded significant results in addressing alleged theft incidents within and around the terminal. 

“Our comprehensive security measures have played a crucial role in identifying and apprehending individuals involved in criminal activities, thereby deterring future incidents, and fostering a safer environment for all.
