Jetour T2 Brings Off-Road Performance, Luxury to Abuja Motorists
Jetour Nigeria is set to give motorists in Abuja and neighbouring states an opportunity to experience the combination of off-road performance, luxury and technology offered by its T2 sports utility vehicle (SUV) at a three-day automotive showcase in the Federal Capital Territory.
The Jetour Experience Abuja, scheduled for September 22 to 24, 2026, will take place at the Maha Event Centre, Area 8, Garki, where visitors will be able to test-drive the T2, watch live demonstrations and interact with the company’s product specialists.
The event forms part of Jetour Nigeria’s ongoing efforts to expand its footprint in the Nigerian market and bring its vehicles directly to potential customers outside the traditional showroom environment.
The T2 is being presented as an SUV built to combine the demands of everyday urban driving with the ability to handle more challenging terrain. Its design and equipment are aimed at motorists looking for a vehicle that offers both practicality and comfort without sacrificing off-road capability.
At the heart of the T2 is a 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine that develops 254 horsepower and 390 Nm of torque. The powertrain is matched with a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission and BorgWarner’s sixth-generation intelligent four-wheel-drive system.
The four-wheel-drive system is supported by five selectable driving modes – Eco, Sport, Mud, Rock and X Smart – giving drivers different settings depending on road and terrain conditions.
While Eco and Sport modes are designed for different everyday driving requirements, Mud and Rock modes are intended to assist the vehicle when it encounters more demanding surfaces. X Smart provides an additional intelligent driving setting aimed at adapting the vehicle’s response to changing conditions.
The SUV’s dimensions also contribute to its utility. It measures 4,758mm long, 2,006mm wide and 1,880mm high, while its 220mm ground clearance provides additional space between the underside of the vehicle and the road surface.
The T2 is fitted with a 70-litre fuel tank, a specification that supports longer-distance journeys and gives the vehicle added appeal for motorists who frequently travel beyond the city.
Inside the cabin, Jetour has sought to combine the vehicle’s rugged exterior character with a more technology-focused and comfortable environment.
The SUV features ergonomic seats and a large 15.6-inch touchscreen infotainment display. Connectivity options include Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, while intelligent voice control provides another means of interacting with selected vehicle functions.
Safety technology is also a significant part of the T2’s specification.
The vehicle is equipped with a 360-degree panoramic camera and rear parking sensors to assist drivers when manoeuvring, particularly in tight urban spaces. Its driver-assistance systems include Lane Departure Warning, Blind Spot Detection and Emergency Brake Assist.
The T2 also features an Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), while off-road crawl control is designed to assist drivers when tackling difficult terrain.
Other convenience features include push-button start and remote-start functionality, adding to the vehicle’s emphasis on convenience and everyday usability.
Jetour Nigeria is marketing the T2 alongside its wider vehicle range through seven accredited dealers.
The dealer network comprises Elizade Nigeria Limited, New Era AutoVehicle Services Limited, Germaine Auto Centre, Kojo Motors, Mandilas Autos, R.T. Briscoe Motors and Tab Autos Limited.
The company expects the Abuja event to provide prospective customers with a more practical understanding of the T2 by allowing them to experience its driving characteristics and examine its technology and safety features first-hand.
Unlike a conventional vehicle display, the Jetour Experience is structured around direct customer interaction, with test drives and demonstrations forming a major part of the three-day programme.
The Abuja event follows Jetour Nigeria’s recent showcase in Lagos as the automaker continues to expand its customer engagement activities across the country.
The move reflects the company’s strategy of increasing visibility for its products while giving motorists in different parts of Nigeria opportunities to assess its vehicles directly.
For Abuja motorists, the T2’s combination of four-wheel-drive capability, multiple terrain modes, high ground clearance and a powerful turbocharged engine provides a particular focus for the showcase.
At the same time, its touchscreen technology, smartphone connectivity, driver-assistance systems and comfort-focused interior are intended to make it suitable for everyday city use.
The Jetour Experience Abuja is therefore expected to serve both as a product demonstration and as a platform for the automaker to strengthen its relationship with customers in the Federal Capital Territory and surrounding markets.
As the Nigerian SUV market continues to attract motorists seeking vehicles capable of serving multiple purposes, Jetour Nigeria is using the Abuja activation to highlight the T2’s positioning as a vehicle that seeks to combine urban practicality with off-road capability and premium features.
