Carloha Nigeria Launches Free 6-6-7 Roadside Rescue Initiative for Motorists
Carloha Nigeria, the authorised distributor of Chery vehicles in Nigeria, has launched the CarlohaCare 6-6-7 Rescue Initiative, a comprehensive emergency roadside assistance programme aimed at providing prompt and professional support to motorists stranded as a result of vehicle breakdowns on highways and major roads across the country.
The company said the roadside rescue service would be provided free of charge, reinforcing its commitment to improving the vehicle ownership experience and ensuring that motorists have access to trained rescue professionals during emergencies.
Under the initiative, motorists experiencing vehicle breakdowns can contact the CarlohaCare Rescue team through a dedicated emergency hotline on 07000 667 667.
Carloha Nigeria explained that once a distress call is received, a professionally trained rescue crew would be dispatched to provide assistance for a wide range of roadside emergencies.
According to the company, response times may vary depending on the location of the stranded motorist and accessibility of the road. It, however, assured that every distress call would receive professional attention and dispatch support to ensure that motorists are not left stranded without assistance.
The rescue programme is an extension of Carloha Nigeria’s CarlohaCare 6-6-7 after-sales package, which previously earned the company the “Most Outstanding Aftersales Car Company” award at the Nigeria Auto Journalists Association Awards.
The CarlohaCare 6-6-7 package comprises a six-year manufacturer’s warranty, six years of free scheduled maintenance and a seven-day repair promise.
Under the seven-day repair commitment, customers are provided with a courtesy vehicle where repairs exceed seven working days due to parts availability or other qualifying circumstances.
The company said the newly introduced Rescue Initiative takes its after-sales commitment beyond the showroom and workshop to highways and major roads, providing motorists with support when breakdowns occur.
Although the CarlohaCare 6-6-7 Rescue Initiative was originally designed to cater for Chery customers in Nigeria, the company has temporarily extended the service to owners of other vehicle brands, subject to operational capacity.
Speaking on the initiative, the After-sales Manager at Carloha Nigeria, Mr Samson Akinbowale, said unexpected vehicle breakdowns often create stressful situations for motorists, adding that the rescue programme was designed to provide reassurance and reduce anxiety among vehicle owners.
“Vehicle breakdowns can occur unexpectedly and often create stressful situations for motorists. With the CarlohaCare 6-6-7 Rescue Initiative, our customers can enjoy peace of mind knowing that a dedicated team of trained professionals is available around the clock to provide prompt assistance whenever they need it,” Akinbowale said.
He added that the company was also providing on-location maintenance support as part of efforts to reduce vehicle downtime for individual customers and fleet operators.
“Beyond rescue operations, we are also offering on-location maintenance support to help reduce downtime for both individual customers and fleet operators,” he stated.
Also commenting, the General Manager of Marketing at Carloha Nigeria, Mr Felix Mahan, described the initiative as a natural extension of the company’s customer-focused strategy and its drive to improve the vehicle ownership experience in Nigeria.
According to Mahan, the initiative is intended to eliminate some of the concerns associated with vehicle ownership, particularly the fear of being stranded without access to professional assistance.
“The CarlohaCare 6-6-7 Rescue Initiative is an extension of our vision to provide a superior ownership experience and eliminate the worries that come with vehicle ownership. We want every Chery owner to know that help is always just a phone call away,” Mahan said.
In what the company described as a significant industry development, Carloha Nigeria said owners of non-Chery vehicles would also be able to access the free roadside rescue service for a limited period, depending on the availability of its rescue teams and equipment.
The company, however, stressed that Chery customers would continue to receive priority attention during periods of high demand.
Mahan said the decision to extend the service to motorists driving competing vehicle brands reflected Carloha Nigeria’s broader commitment to road safety and keeping vehicles moving on Nigerian roads.
“We have the team, the trucks and the expertise. When our rescue fleet has capacity to spare, it is our responsibility to put those resources to work keeping Nigeria’s roads moving – regardless of what brand a stranded motorist drives,” he said.
He described the initiative as an unprecedented industry-first in Nigeria, noting that extending free rescue services to Chery customers and motorists using competing brands demonstrated the company’s commitment to improving safety on Nigerian roads.
“This is an unprecedented industry-first for Nigeria. By extending these free rescue services to both our clients and users of competing brands, we are demonstrating a firm commitment to elevating overall safety on Nigerian roads,” Mahan added.
Non-Chery vehicle owners requiring roadside assistance can contact the CarlohaCare Rescue team through the same 07000 667 667 hotline and confirm their eligibility for the service at the time of making a request.
Beyond emergency roadside rescue and towing, Carloha Nigeria said the initiative also offers on-location maintenance and technical support to fleet operators and individual vehicle owners, subject to applicable service charges.
The company said the additional support would reduce the number of visits to workshops, minimise vehicle downtime and improve the overall ownership experience for motorists.
Carloha Nigeria urged motorists seeking information on service availability and coverage areas to follow its official social media channels and visit the company’s website for updates.
